Day 10 - Union Creek to Crater Lake

6/4/13 - Oh my! We had to do a short ride...

Because the route was short, we decided to both ride and come back for the car later. Apparently, the Crater Lake Lodge in booked a year in advance but I made reservations two days ago and we got a great room overlooking the lake. Again, better to be lucky than good.

FYI, the map on this page does not include the trip from the entrance of the park to the actual lake. Bob just could not get it to map. The mosquitoes were the size of butterflies! I did the hill twice as the workout was so minimal today. Needed to earn that margarita!

Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the US and is bluer than Tahoe. Water enters only through rain and snow melt, and no rivers flow from it ( with the exception of the Rogue that leaks from underneath). An early dinner overlooking the lake and we worked on this website catching up on the content we’ve amassed.
